Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys tumultuous football marriage ended after eight years of ups and downs. Bryant finished his tenure as a Cowboy with 531 catches, 7,459 yards, and 73 touchdowns. Despite never having a catch percentage over 70 percent, he was widely considered as one of the best receivers in the league from 2012-2014.
The problem for Bryant was that his last productive season was in 2014. That is why he finds himself on the outside looking in as a free agent.
The former Oklahoma State standout took issue with a tweet that made him go from 0 to 100 real quick to quote the great philosopher Drake. Here is what set him off, his reaction, and his loyalists’ reactions:
But wait there is even a shot, from Bryant, at the Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones.
Bryant even felt slighted by teammate Sean Lee as well. He referred to him as a snake.
Don’t worry though because Bryant wants us to know that he is not bitter, salty, or upset. Honestly.
Although Bryant might be keeping it real, it might be tough to overcome such an ordeal. He is on the outskirts of the NFL and was even linked to a potential signing with the Cleveland Browns. It will be hard to add him to a locker room that is already fragile to begin with. Bryant might have played his last down of football whether he likes it or not.
If he is done, keep it classy and “Throw up the X” Dez.
