
The popular rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed today outside of his clothing store Marathon Clothing on West Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles at about 3:25 p.m.
Ermias Davidson Asghedom (Nipsey Hussle) was pronounced dead at the hospital. There were two others that were shot, one is in the hospital and the other refused medical treatment according to Los Angeles police Lt. Chris Martinez.

Nipsey Hussle had one of the top albums of the year last year with his Grammy-nominated album “Victory Lap”.
Nipsey had been a staple in the culture since his mixtape days in 2008. He dropped four mixtapes before his debut album “Victory Lap”.

Nipsey Hussle was more than just a rapper however, his foundation helped start “Vector 90”, a coworking space and incubator focused on developing underrepresented entrepreneurs. He also started “Too Big to Fail” a STEM program that will be a center and maker space for youth in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw neighborhood.
Nipsey Hussle will be missed not only by his hometown of Crenshaw but by the Hip-Hop community and everyone whom he touched.
Ermias Davidson Asghedom is survived by his two kids, Emani and Kross Asghedom. He was 33 years old.
