Winning the 2019-20 Europa League tournament will bring pride to the club. It can also be a source of motivation for the future of the club. Lack of motivation has been a problem in the past few years. Man U is working on piecing themselves back together to put their recent rough years behind them. Winning a major tournament is a big step into the rebuilding process. It motivates the team further.
Can Manchester United Get Past Club Brugge?
Yes, they’re perfectly capable of taking care of business. Man U is more eager than ever to right all the wrongs. They’re looking to brighten the future of the club. In Man U’s case, coming up short is not an option as it only brings more disappointment. At this point, the club can only settle for positive results. In this case, the odds are certainly in Man U’s favor since their playing a much weaker club.
Man U is an overwhelmingly favorite in their clash with Club Brugge. Club Brugge was transferred from the Champions League due to very disappointing results. No wins, scoring just four goals and conceding 12. That explains why the Red Devils are heavily favored.
However, being the favorite does not automatically guarantee a victory. In Man U’s case, their behavior is what is the game results depend on. Scoring goals and maintaining control is what leads to a resounding win. Man U is playing for the club’s future, so there’s no room for negativity. So as long as the team’s healthy and focused, there’s no reason for Man U to not advance to the next round.
The first leg takes place on February 20th. Man U will the visiting team, so this gives the opportunity to take advantage of the away goal rule. If Man U can win comfortably on the road, they’ll have to finish it convincingly in the second leg at Old Trafford.
